Lynmore Rise Update June 2023

ree

Chairperson - Jos Pemberton

As the chairperson, Jos has made it very clear that the current residents of Lynmore Rise have a very good working relationship with Classic Life and the Owhatiura South 5 Trust.

A contribution of $4k by OS⁵ toward an electric cart has made it possible to transport residents with health issues to and from Te Aruhe for community clubhouse events. An application to the Rotorua Energy Community Trust for $10k has funded the bulk cost of the cart.

The residents’ committee has also held raffles and organised fund-raising events to purchase more appliances for Te Aruhe such as a food warmer, a second electric frypan, a four-slice toaster and including an extra Teflon utensil as the kitchen facilities are well used.

We have GOLF days (Gentlemen Only, Ladies Forbidden) but we also have LONG days (Ladies Only, No Gentlemen) it’s such fun and we do value our time together and make the most of it.

The mid-winter xmas brunch at Te Puia was attended by 49 residents and a big thanks goes out to Classic Group for subsidising this with a $500 donation.

As Lynmore residents, we feel very blessed and although we come from different backgrounds and have very different personalities, we are all able to get along, help each other out and know we all have individual strengths.

Life for us at Lynmore Rise is GOOD!
